Abstract:
The paper evaluates the effectiveness of plant growth regulators in the cultivation of barley on meadow-chernozem soil in the forest-steppe of Western Siberia in 2023-2025. The growth regulators had a positive effect on the barley yield. When cultivating barley without preparations, an average of 3.04 (background 1 – without fertilizers) and 3.44 t/ha (background 2 – N15P60) were obtained, the use of growth regulators increased yields to 3.23 - 3.30 and 3.63 - 3.70 t/ha, respectively. The preparations provided significant increases on both backgrounds. The increase in grain yield from the main application of the calculated dose was significantly 0.40 t/ha. Growth regulators are effective both when there is a lack of nutrients (background 1) and when fertilizers are applied (background 2). The highest productivity of the crop was observed with the use of both drugs in the variant of seed treatment + foliar treatment on a nitrogen-phosphorus background. Foliar treatment together with seed treatment did not significantly increase the yield compared to the option of seed treatment with preparations. At the same time, the technology is more energy efficient when using growth regulators without the use of macro fertilizers (the energy cost was 5.65-5.70 GJ/ton of grain) and, in general, the preparations contributed to a decrease in this indicator compared to the control (5.90 GJ/ton); against the background of macro fertilizers, 5.79-5.81 and 6.03 GJ/ton, respectively.
