APPLICATION OF MINERAL FERTILIZERS ON OILSEED CROPS IN THE SUB-TAIGA ZONE OF WESTERN SIBERIA

Abstract:
The article presents the results of studies on the effect of mineral fertilizers on the yield and quality of oilseeds (spring rapeseed and oilseed flax) conducted in 2023-2024 in the sub-taiga zone of Western Siberia. In the experiment, three backgrounds were studied: without fertilization; with N10P20K20 fertilization; and with N10P20K20S6Zn1B0,2 fertilization. It was found that the field germination and plant survival rates of oilseeds were the highest in the case of complex fertilization, but there were no significant differences compared to the second option. The survival rates of spring rapeseed and oilseed flax were 74.3% and 81.7%, respectively. In all years and for all varieties, plant damage by pests was observed. The dynamics of biometric indicators of oilseeds varied both by years and by variants in spring rapeseed, the height of plants varied from 96.7 to 130.2 cm, in oilseed flax – from 54.1 to 64.3 cm. The greatest height was noted on the background of N10P20K20S6Zn1B0,2. The content of an additional component of micronutrients in mineral fertilizer played a significant role in the structure of oilseeds and their seed yield. Against this background, the highest weight of 1,000 seeds of spring rapeseed (3.56 g) and oilseed flax (8.03 g) also resulted in the highest yields of 3.39 t/ha and 2.48 t/ha, respectively. There is a strong direct correlation between seed yield and fat yield in both crops (r = 0.99 ± 0.01). Economic calculations confirm the results obtained, i.e., it is economically advantageous to use complex fertilizers on oilseeds in the sub-taiga zone of Western Siberia, where the cost of production is the lowest and the profitability is the highest.
