Vegetables, in particular, radishes, which are the most widespread among early root vegetable crops cultivated all over the world in open and protected ground, are of great importance in human nutrition. The most adaptive and productive radish varieties are necessary for specific environmental conditions. The purpose of the research is to determine the most productive, environmentally flexible, and resistant to bolting radish varieties for cultivation in the southern forest-steppe zone of the Omsk Region. Six varieties of radishes were studied on two types of soil: leached chernozem and chernozem-meadow soil. The research material was varieties of radishes of domestic and foreign breeding, approved for the use in the territory of the Russian Federation. As a result of three-year studies, it was revealed that in the conditions of this zone, the yield of radish roots depends less on the type of soils similar in fertility and properties than on the cultivated variety. According to their adaptability and ability to realize their biological potential for productivity, the most suitable varieties for cultivation in these conditions are Duro Krasnodarskoe, Klyukva v Sakhare, and French Breakfast. The yield of root crops is significantly higher than that of the control variety, Zhara, by 21–66%, with yields of 1.89–2.07 kg/m2 on leached chernozem and 1.96–2.15 kg/m2 on chernozem-meadow soil, with an ecological plasticity index of 1.02–1.33 and a standard yield of 90–96%. These three varieties are more resistant to flowering plants (0.7– 4.8%) than other studied radish varieties (5.4–10.8%).
