The search for alternative, natural components that, along with antibacterial activity, have a stimulating effect on the processes of absorption of feed nutrients in the intestines, is an urgent task in poultry farming. The use of feed additives based on humic acids is a promising direction. A number of researchers note an increase in feed conversion when using these feed additives for poultry, which entails an increase in productivity. At the same time, there is no information about histomorphological changes in the liver of quails of the Omsk breed when the feed additive “Rostodar”, which is a derivative of humic acids, is introduced into the diet. An experimental study of the effect of this feed additive was carried out on the basis of the Institute of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education Omsk State Agrarian University on quails of the Omsk breed. The purpose of the research was to study the effect of different doses of feed additive on the histomorphology of quail liver. For the study, according to the principle of analogues, four groups were formed: control, experimental group I (received a feed additive in a dosage of 0.25 ml/l of water), experimental group II (0.5 ml/l of water) and experimental group III (0.75 ml /l of water) for 42 days. The results of the study showed that in the liver of quails of group I there was a significant decrease in the degree of fatty infiltration of hepatocytes compared to the control group. In group II, there was a slightly greater fatty infiltration of liver cells, and in group III, there was pronounced fatty infiltration of hepatocytes in combination with granular degeneration.
