ADAPTABILITY OF DURUM WHEAT ACCESSIONS OF THE INTERNATIONAL PROGRAM KASIB UNDER CONDITIONS OF WESTERN SIBERIA

Abstract:
Durum wheat is a valuable agricultural culture, the sowing area of which in Western Siberia is small. The program of KASIB network variety of durum wheat helps to improve the yield and adaptability of varieties in the West Siberian region and Republic of Kazakhstan. The purpose of the study to evaluate of the productivity and adaptability of the variety of the international nursery of durum wheat KASIB-22 under conditions of Western Siberia. Studies were conducted in 2021-2023 in the experimental field of the Omsk ASC. The object of research was twenty varieties and lines of spring durum wheat from five breeding institutions participating in the KASIB International program. The field and laboratory research methods were used. Based on the parameters of AMMI analysis and indicators of the stability of yield of the most stable genotypes that can form an average yield (2.33-2.63 t/ha) in sharply changing environmental conditions belong lines Gordiforme 2246 (Karabalykskaya AES), G.13--62-2, and variety Omskaya yantarnaya (Omsk ASC). A comprehensive asses- sment of yields and adaptive potential of varieties of firm hard wheat KASIB-22 has to distinguish the best acсessions with simultaneously high and stable yields (2.91-3.19 t/ha): Line 242/243-2020 (Aktobe AES), Line 2217 d-4, Line 1693 d-71, Line 1927 d-27 (Samara ARI). Varieties of the breeding programs of the Omsk ASC and the Samara ARI belong to the group of varieties with wide adaptability and are recommended for inclusion into hybridization programs in different environmental points of KASIB network in order to increase the adap-tive potential of durum wheat varieties.
