RESULTS OF EXPERIMENTAL STUDIES ON THE USE OF A ROLLING MACHINE AND TRACTOR UNIT

In the technology of agricultural crops cultivation, the operation of soil rolling is to provide conditions for optimal germination of seed material and further development of the cultivated crop. As studies have shown, soil density is not the same everywhere for a number of reasons and does not always meet agrotechnological requirements, which ultimately affects the yield of agricultural crops. This problem can be solved in modern conditions by modernization aimed at regulating the load by installing additional devices. This paper presents research material using a modernized rolling machine-tractor unit capable of changing the load on the working element. The studies were carried out with a machine-tractor unit consisting of a class 1.4 wheeled tractor and a three-link water-filled smooth roller 3WSR with an installed device for regulating the load on the working element - "automatic corrector of the load on the rolling unit working element". The studies were conducted during early spring field work on the basis of a farm, the soil of which was meadow chernozem-like with a mechanical composition of medium-heavy loam typical for most agricultural areas in the Amur Region. The studies showed that the intensity of the load of the rolling unit working element is affected by the weight falling on the leading support surfaces of the power tool, the length of the hydraulic cylinder rod output and the load in the cable connection. With a fixed coupling weight and a changing load in the cable connection, the increase in the load on the rolling unit working element is 19%. With a constant rod length, due to a change in the load in the cable connection, it makes it possible to increase the load on the rolling unit working element by 26%. The maximum load falling on the rolling unit working element is 5.1 N with a rod output length of 0.25 m. The use of the proposed device makes it possible to regulate the soil density depending on the cultivated crop and the physical and mechanical properties of the soil.
