This scientific article describes a highly contagious viral disease of the feline family, feline panleukopenia, the characteristics and properties of the causative agent, examines the clinical and epizootological aspects of panleukopenia, analyzes laboratory test results, and develops treatment methods. The importance of timely vaccination for prevention and isolation of infected animals is discussed, as well as treatment methods aimed at combating the infection and supporting the animal's health. Panleukopenia is characterized by fever, damage to the gastrointestinal tract and other systems, dehydration, and intoxication, leading to high mortality, especially in kittens. The disease was diagnosed based on clinical signs and confirmed by laboratory detection of leukopenia. Possible causes of feline panleukopenia include failure to adhere to the generally accepted vaccination protocol. Therefore, cats are unable to acquire stable immunity in a timely manner, becoming infected both in isolated cases and during outbreaks in catteries and shelters. Panleukopenia accounts for 39% of all feline viral diseases. Research has shown that the use of the immunostimulant "Neipomax" in the treatment of cats with infectious parvovirus enteritis has demonstrated high and effective results, ensuring recovery within the second day of treatment, thereby shortening the illness duration. These findings are important for improving treatment methods for cats kept not only at home but also in catteries and shelters, helping to increase their resistance to this disease.
