HISTOMORPHOLOGY OF SKELETAL MUSCLES OF OMSK QUAILS USING THE FEED ADDITIVE 'ROSTODAR'
Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
Quail farming, being a promising area of poultry farming, is characterized by the high precocity and intensity of egg laying of quails, which necessitates the optimization of feeding rations in order to ensure maximum productivity and preserve the birds health. In this regard, it is relevant to study the effectiveness of using feed additives based on humic acids, which have a wide range of biological activity. This paper presents the results of studying the effect of the Rostodar feed additive on the histomorphological structure of Omsk quails skeletal muscles. The experiment was conducted in the vivarium of the Institute of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology of the Omsk State Agrarian University and the laboratory of the Department of Veterinary and Sanitary Examination of livestock Products and Hygiene of Farm animals. The aim of the study was to evaluate the potential effect of the supplement on the morphological parameters of muscle tissue, characterizing its structure and functional activity. To conduct an experimental study, four analog groups of Omsk meat and egg quail were formed, each with 30 heads. When the bird reached the age of 42 days, a controlled slaughter was carried out, followed by sampling for further analysis. The revealed changes allow us to conclude that a feed additive based on humic acids has a positive effect on the growth and development of skeletal muscles in Omsk quails, which may contribute to an increase in poultry meat productivity. The results of the study can be used in the development of new quail feeding technologies in order to optimize meat productivity and improve the quality of meat products.
