The Jersey breed of cattle is distinguished by a high content of milk fat and protein compared to the breeds traditionally bred in the Omsk region. The import of Jersey cattle is accompanied by changes in productive and adaptive features. Therefore, the study of the phenotypic features of imported Jersey cattle, manifested in the process of adaptation to the conditions of the Omsk region, is relevant. The purpose of the research is to study the phenotypic indicators of productivity and metabolic features of imported Jersey cows in the conditions of the Omsk region. The object of research is a herd of Jersey cattle, consisting entirely of imported Danish livestock. The share of breeding stock in the herd is 43.4%. In the herd 96.4% of cows are of the first lactation, and 3.6% are the cows of the second lactation. The milk yield of cows was 5736 kg, with a fat and protein content in milk of 5.92% and 4.02%, respectively, which meet the minimum requirements of the breed standard. All animals in the herd are typical in appearance. The variation coefficients are from 6.9 to 12.5%. In terms of every 100 cows in this farm, an average of 83 calves were delivered, which characterizes the level of reproduction of the herd as good. In heifers, the total protein content in the blood was 6.95 g/%, which is 3.59% less than the lower limit of the norm. When transferring these animals to a group of first-calf heifers, the total protein content in the blood decreased to 6.78 g/%, which is 6.19% below the norm. In imported heifers, ASAT exceeds the norm by 8.45%. Subsequently, the activity of ASAT and ALAT in the blood did not exceed the permissible limits of the norm. Thus, imported Jersey cattle have successfully adapted to the climate of the Omsk region, as well as to the industrial technology of the enterprise.
