In connection with the trend of global climate change, the adaptive potential of plants and their use in breeding becomes relevant. This article presents the results of a study of the genotypes of fiber flax of the third (F3) - fifth (F5) generations. The objective of the study was a comprehensive assessment of hybrid flax populations for the main economically valuable traits and adaptive properties, and selection of the best of them for further breeding use. Field testing of plants was carried out at the biological station of Tyumen State University "Lake Kuchak" (Nizhnetavdinsky District, Tyumen Region). The laying out and conducting all the necessary records and observations were carried out according to the generally accepted methodology. According to the AMMI analysis, reliable differences (p < 0.05; p < 0.01) were found for most of the studied indicators. It was established that genotypic features were decisive in the overall variability of the number of seeds in 1 capsule (48.5%); Environmental conditions contributed to field germination of seeds (62.4%); genotype x environment interaction contributed to fiber mass (51.2%). According to AMMI analysis, the first three components were decisive in the structure of genotype-environment interaction of flax traits, accounting for 91.8-71.4% of the total variance. The following combinations were classified as stable (0 < ASV < 1): by duration of the growing season (G3, G4, G6); plant height (G1, G3, G7, G8, G9, G10, G12); stem mass (G1, G4, G5, G6, G7, G8); fiber mass (G1, G2, G4, G6, G9, G10, G11, G12); fiber content (G1, G2, G5, G6, G8); number of bolls (G1, G6, G7); the number of seeds in 1 capsule (G4, G9, G10, G12); soapiness (G6, G9, G10); taper (G1, G2, G12). In the fifth hybrid generation, the following combinations were selected: early maturing (G1, G11); tall (G1, G11); with a greater stem weight (G1, G11); fiber (G2, G6) and its content (G1, G10); the number of capsules (G1, G5) and seeds in them (G1, G4); soapiness (G5, G7); taper (G6, G8), which are valuable in selection in the conditions of the Tyumen region. The best sample is G1 (Yarok x Grant), characterized by stability in a complex of five technological indicators.
