STATUS, ISSUES AND PROSPECTS FOR THE USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN VETERINARY MEDICINE

Abstract:
Currently, there is a rapid development and introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in various areas of human activity, including veterinary medicine. AI is a collection of various algorithms and systems that can process large amounts of data in a short time, identify patterns and make decisions, imitating human intelligence. In veterinary medicine, the use of AI makes it possible to significantly increase the efficiency of diagnosis and treatment of sick animals; optimize the work of a veterinary specialist; automate the analysis of various data on livestock at the enterprise; predict epizootic situation. In this regard, based on the available scientific publications of domestic and foreign authors, the article discusses the state, problems and prospects of using artificial intelligence in veterinary practice. The material for the review study was electronic databases that contained the necessary information on the use of artificial intelligence in the field of veterinary medicine, and in particular: Scribenote, Vetology, Digital, GoldieVet, Vesty, "Unified Veterinary Information and Analytical System", ВеТ Ас, PedPace, SoundTalks, "Your farming". As a result of the analysis, a number of advantages and some disadvantages of using AI for the diagnosis and treatment of animal diseases were identified. It has been established that the use of artificial intelligence can become an integral part in the work of a veterinarian, will help improve the quality of animal care, increase the efficiency, accuracy and speed of diseases diagnosis and treatment.
